Shrine Girls??

So some folks might be aware of girls who are battleships a la Kantai Collection, guys who are swords like in Touken Ranbu, and other similar concepts. Well, it appears the former staff of Shin Megami Tensei are taking a crack at the genre by giving us... girls who are shrines.

Not shrine maidens, or miko. Actual shrines.

Of course, this made me think of the shrines in Elfen Lied, as Kamakura is chock full of them, as well as the thousands of shrines Japan has all over its landscape. Personally, I think it'd be funny if the Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine was a girl who flung weaponized money at people. Or the Sasuke Inari Shrine girl was a ninja.
